Schools’ poetry competition 2026

‘Pathways’

Our poetry competition for 2026 is now underway and will run for the rest of the summer term. We are delighted that poet and editor Matthew Hollis has kindly agreed to judge the poems.

Our 2026 theme is inspired by The Path more Travelled – the latest book by author, explorer and broadcaster Nicholas Crane who will be speaking at this year’s festival in October.

Here’s wishing you all an enjoyable journey along footpaths this summer – real ones and symbolic ones; day-to-day walks created decades, centuries or millennia ago; and the places where we most often cross ways with North Norfolk’s wildlife.
